Becoming a Gentleman

A gentleman is not narcissistic.

He’s also fond of the movie Zoolander.

A gentleman expresses his innermost feelings with emotion, much unlike this dude. 

If you’re still wondering what you should be when you grow up, then consider the advice of this gentleman who is clearly in tune with the laws of nature.

Hairy or not, a gentleman knows how to celebrate a touchdown.  

A gentleman asks a lady a lot of questions, for reasons too exhaustive to adequately cover right now. But that’s besides the point because it’s also true that a gentleman can bake a lady a gourmet cake in the dream kitchen he built for her with his own hands, or something comparable. And… of course, he can swan dive on command. 

If a gentleman is seen behind the steering wheel of a pink vehicle and using valley-girl-text-speak, it is most certainly for a TV ad - much like this one.

A gentleman just does not punch another man while he’s wearing a helmet and his opponent is not. If you’re going to sock a guy in the jaw, take your helmet off first and make your intentions known. Sucker punches are for bambies - as in the adolescent version of Disney’s Bambi. You’ll see what we’re talking about halfway into this video.

If you can not spout more reasons why you love the lady in your life than your beer, you’re neither fit for beer nor a woman. Don’t be “that guy.”

Becoming a gentleman isn’t just about how you treat others, it’s also about how you treat yourself. If you’re contributing something positive to the world and yourself and you’re passionate about it, then do it until your passion ceases. Love him or hate him… see exhibit #4: Brett Favre.

A gentleman is fair in business. He’s not a douche. So, don’t be this guy. That is unless you want subject yourself to the ridicule of being “that guy.” 

Very Trump-esque addressing men as gentlemen. That momentarily pardons his heinous toupee. I suppose this video would support that the DSRL is a true gentleman’s sport.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a 7-plus-foot giant, or a young man who has yet to hit puberty, a gentleman knows how to serenade. See Shaq. See Bieber. See them sing.

Stand for something. Be authentic. Be original. Write your own story. After all, your legacy is at stake.
